This small FreeState town 'Oranjeville', is a weekend and holiday destination mostly for those who enjoy fishing in the Vaaldam. While technically the town lies on the bank of the Wilgerrivier, near where the river flows into the Vaalrivier.
Of historical interest is the Magrieta Prinsloo single lane Bridge outside town. This bridge was officialy put to use in 1885, to become the oldest bridge spanning the Wilgerrivier. Magrieta was a survivor of the Zulu attack at Bloukrans in 1838. The town it-self was only established later in 1919.
Fishing; Barbel, common carp, mirror carp, grass carp, smallmouth & largemouth yellowfish and mudfish.
